Karen Sturgis

Karen Sturgis, MA, LPC, Balsam House Program Manager. Karen has worked at Colorado Recovery beginning in 2008. She began our Transitional Housing program and has been creating and implementing changes to improve Transitional Housing for the past nine years. Prior to coming to Colorado Recovery Karen was the Residential Coordinator for the Mental Health Center Serving Broomfield and Boulder Counties giving her over fifteen years of residential experience. Karen became the Program Manager for Balsam House in the late fall of 2016. Karen is a Colorado Native with a master’s degree from Naropa University in transpersonal psychology. Karen has over 27 years of experience in the mental health and addictions recovery field.
