Balsam House Social Engagement Program (SEP)
This is a supplementary step-down program from our Residential program for those clients needing a more graduated transition from Balsam House to independent living, or as a short-term alternative to readmission to Balsam House to re-stabilize. Clients can step down from residential care directly into the Social Engagement Program. SEP is available 7 days or as many days a week the clinical team believes may be helpful for a client. An individualized schedule will be developed for each client based on their interests and abilities.
Colorado Recovery’s Social Engagement Program is designed to support clients with:
- Depression
- Anxiety/Panic
- Stress Management
- Life Transitions
- Grief/Loss
- Sleep Problems
- Social Inclusion
- Community support
Our Social Engagement Program allows participants to remain living in their own homes while interacting with familiar people and continue to develop a community. Participants are encouraged to go to daily groups, participate with meal preparation and daily tasks within the house.
Along with clinical groups complementary groups including art, music, horticulture, and recreation give clients the opportunities to practice the skills in healthy living. Weekly schedules also include groups focused on vocational and school readiness, sober living, relationships, exercise and sports, and positive use of free time.
